On 1 February 2021, our country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamanji has offered the country’s general budget in Parliament.

Some new schemes have also been announced in this budget.

One such scheme is the Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme.

The scheme has been launched to focus on three sectors of the health sector.

These three areas are prevention, treatment, and research.

A budget of 64180 crores has been set by the central government for the next 6 years under this scheme.

The existing health infrastructure will be strengthened under Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana 2021 and new institutes will also be developed keeping in view the challenges ahead.

So that in the coming time, our country will continue to progress in the field of health

The scheme will be operated under the National Health Mission.

Funding of the Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana will be done entirely by the Central Government.

17000 rural and 11000 urban health and wellness centers will be supported under this scheme.

Projects of Pm Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana

Under this scheme, integrated public health laboratories will be established in 3382 blocks of all districts.

Public health units will also be set up under the Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana

Hospital blocks in 602 districts will also be set up under this scheme.

The National Center for Disease Control will also be supported.

An Integrated Health Information Portal will also be established under Pm Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana 2021 and 17 new public health units will be opened.

Along with this, support will be provided to the existing public health works.

15 health emergency operation centers and two mobile hospitals will also be established under the health sector.

Under this scheme, Rs 35000 crore has also been allocated for Covid-19 vaccine.

Support to National Care for Disease Control

As you all know, under this scheme special attention will be given to three areas which are prevention, treatment and research.

So that we can successfully fight an epidemic like coronavirus in the coming times.

Keeping this in mind, the National Care for Disease Control and its 5 regional branches and 20 Metropolitan Health Surveillance Units will be supported by the government.

So that the organization can do its work well. An integrated healthy information portal will also be established under Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana.

Under which all kinds of health related information will be made available to the citizens.

All public health laboratories will be linked to the Swasthya Information Portal under the Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana

Under this scheme 17 new public health units will be built and 33 existing public institution units will also be strengthened. Which includes 32 airports, 11 ports and student land crossings.

This integrated health information portal will be linked to all states.
